Hallelujah, its Friday!!!! Anyone else feel like this week was the longest ever? Welp, we made it. And we deserve a tasty treat because of it. How does a little Rose Pink Lemonade Sorbet sound?
This is one of my favorite summertime desserts. Since my sweet tooth tends to pull me in the more savory or fruity genre, this cool and refreshing sorbet is the ideal treat when the temps start to soar. This sorbet (which is fruit puree and sugar) is packed with so much strawberry and lemon flavor you’ll think you’re eating the freshest, and tastiest, fruit on the planet. And the rose gives the sorbet a light, floral perfume that accents the pink lemonade beautifully. This Rose Pink Lemonade Sorbet is a must try this summer.
Another great time to enjoy this Rose Pink Lemonade Sorbet? Along the parade route at Pride, cuz it’s Pride month y’all!! If you haven’t had the ridiculously fun pleasure of watching a Pride parade, I insist you make it happen. It’s one of the happiest, most colorful, most inclusive events you will ever witness.
Yeah I know… We may currently live in a contentious country, but my hope for the future is one of love, and respect, and compassion. This month is a celebration of self acceptance but also a celebration of resisting persecution. “Love it too beautiful to hide” so let’s grow, support, and continue to love every human being for who they innately are.
And to all of my fellow LGBTQI+ friends: You are beautiful in every way! I am so proud to call you all my family. HAPPY PRIDE!!!
Want to contribute or be an awesome ally?
There are so many wonderful LGBTQI+ charities you can support but one of my of my favorites is GLSEN. GLSEN is the “leading national education organization that works to transform K-12 schools into safe and affirming environments and ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment.” Bullying, in any form, is an atrocious epidemic that this organization is tirelessly working hard to remedy within the community. Even if you cant donate money, support their cause by educating yourself or others with the difficulties faced by LGBT youth. If children are our future, give them the tools to succeed with flying colors.
